This song was created for the IFP 50-hour challenge, which meant that it had to be written, composed, sung, and submitted within 50 hours. I wrote the lyrics for it.
The tune and vocals (male) are by the multi-talented Govindan, drums by Anoop Ravi Thomas. mixing by Abhayadev Sankaran, and vocals (female) by Athira Vasudevan and Anju Ganesh.
The word Hiraeth means deep longing for something, especially one’s home. Our song is about beautiful memories of the past that take us back to happier times when we appreciated the simple the pleasures of life. Reminiscing about these things brings us back to the one place where we truly belong, home.
