My Story ‘The Queen of Diamonds‘ features in the Ink and Quill Collective’s Lit journal QuillMark’s inaugural issue.
I’ve always wondered about the ill-fated French queen Marie Antoinette who is rumored to have asked her starving people to eat cakes when they lacked bread. As I read more, I realized that there was more to her than is widely known.
Perhaps, if we sequenced the chapters of her life in reverse, we could come to the right conclusion- was she the Queen of hearts, or just an avaricious Queen of Diamonds?
